Lives Lost

In "Lives Lost: In Search of a New Tomorrow," a multi-genre, bilingual edition published in 2019 by Trace Publication, Yousef's historically significant poem is introduced to non-Persian-speaking readers. My surrealist illustrations accompany this profound work, and Dr. Shahrzad Mojab's illuminating foreword offers valuable perspectives on the poem and the role of resistance poetry in the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution.

Saeed Yousef's poignant poem serves as a powerful tribute to the victims of the Iranian State's brutal massacre of political prisoners in the 1980s.
